1st Chemo with Doxil

Had my first chemo with Doxil yesterday and was very nauseated. Have others had this experience and did it continue?

Compazine

I've had 2 treatments of Doxil and am going for #3 this week. I did not have any nausea with the treatments, and have had only mild nausea in between. I have Compazine and Zofran, but don't need them every day. Hopefully what you experienced will be temporary. I've noticed that Doxil side effects come and go, appear at different times - not like what you get with Taxol/carbo. I'm sure your doctor will give you something. The strongest anti-nausea med I've ever used is Emend and it works well.

I wish you good luck with everything.

Thanks. I have Zofran for nausea and feel better today.

Barbann, I had my first dose of Doxil today so I will keep in touch, so far no nausea, but it has only been a few hours. Hope things get better for you, and stay good for me. Hugs

Pam

Thanks, Pam! Hope all goes well for you.
