EZORB

I have read about Ezorb on your site and want to know if any of the members have used it and had good results with it. It has been awhile back that someone posted that they had been using it and their bone density was much better. I am considering ordering some, but would like to hear if any other members have used it. I am hypothyroid and take levothyroxine, but when I contacted Ezorb they said as long as I took it 4 hours after taking my meds there would be no problem. Right now I take my thryroxin at 4:30 a.m. and then I take my Calcium w/Vit D and my mega-minerals at night. If you take Ezorb you do not have to take the Calcium or mega-minerals. I would love for someone to reply that has used Ezorb.

I took ezorb for about 16 months as directions advised-bone density still decreased--i called the ezorb line and was told to doulbe the dose from four to eight per day contrary to their directions for my weight--at that point i did not continue use of ezorb

I may try it since I have a thyroid problem and cannot take some meds. It will not cost me anymore to try it than to take the actenol my dr. wanted me to take. Plus will not have the side effects. Maybe it will work, if not I guess I can try something else. I do not get another bone density test until October of 2011, I think.

I have taken Ezorb about 18 months, my DEXA had no change, same as when I took the toxic Bisphosphonates. But no side effects with Ezorb.
Soon my Sister will have her DEXA, she is taking Ezorb and I will report her results.

I wish the person who said they had been taking Ezorb and their density test had gone up would answer this. I am seriously considering trying it because I don't have much alternative. The Dr. Weil's top 10 foods I can only have 2 or 3 of them due to other problems. You know I wonder sometimes if drs. don't overrate bone density. My mother lived to be 89 and never had a problem. My mother-in-law is 95 and has no problem. No one in my immediate family has ever had a problem with fractures, broken bones, etc even though my sister was also told she had osteo. I am 58 and have never had a fracture or broken bone. No has the stooped shoulders etc. My sisters ages are 65 and 69 and they have no problem even though they've been told they have osteo. They do not take meds either. There are so many things out there it makes it hard to know which to take and if most of you are like me you do not want to waste money on something that is not going to help.

I've been on EZorb for 5 years. I do bone scan every year. The first three years I've had a total of 16% increase in the hip and about 11% increase in the lumbar spine. But it seems I get to a point that my numbers just stay there for the past two years. Maybe I shouldn't lower dosage but hey I'm happy with just the initial increase. Then again I'm not just taking it for my bones. It's helped my arthritis tremendously. I've been pain free for the last 4+ years. I was miserable before I started EZorb. I'm all for Ezorb.

Margaret W I am so glad to hear from you! I have been wanting to try the Ezorb, but wanted to hear from someone who had good results with it. Also I am wanting not just for bone density, but for arthritis also. My husband also has osteoarthritis with bone spurs and is always in lots of pain. I had read it would help that, but I always feel better when I talk to a real person who has had good results. Thanks for your help. Praise the Lord for good results and may you continue to be pain free!

Hey MargaretW, I take one Ezorb with every meal, about 3 or 4 per day. How many are you taking daily?
My DEXA (bad scores) has stayed the same, no fractures after some nasty falls.

I live in Winter Haven on Lake Winterset.

Does anyone know what type of Calcium EZorb is made from?
When I called them last year, the man told me it was Coral Calcium. Which is the worse kind, now I hear i'ts something else!

Char 42, or Maragaret can you please tell us what the label reads of the contents to Ezorb etc.?
Glad to hear you both had such good results.

BJWL89, That is a good topic you bring up. It has been mentioned here before. It makes me wonder also if Osteo is a big hype when we get older!!
Maybe I shouldn't talk so soon, but I have had two accidents, a bad fall, and a few weeks ago, I jamed my litle toe into the wall (rushing around the house), then hit my foot on the leg of my sofa. It became swollen, and hurt so bad. I finally had it Xray, and nothing was broken Thank goodness..But it does make me wonder!
Although I did compress a disc two years ago, puting a dish into my new deep dishwasher. The Dr. said, if I was holding a peice of paper in my hand, and twisted the wrong way it would have happened anyways.
I did go to a P.T. and that has really helped my back and neck.

Take Care,
April

I just looked up about Ezorb and from I have found, its only been tested on Mice!
There is No Scientific Testing on Ezorb that I have found, only what Ezorb tells you, and supositly other testimonials, which I do not believe. I have called some people from those, and they told me a different story. (not about Ezorb).
I do not call that anytype of real Proof Ezorb really works!

Saying that, Maragaret said it worked for her.
So far we only have one person. Lets see if there is anymore on NOF that has had good results from Ezorb, or is it another Hype!!!!

The Ezorb co. are the only ones that say its more absorbent then other Calciums. Calcium Citrate comes in second by ezorb.
Its also Aspartate Anhydrous calcium, which is really the name that Ezorb has given it from what I can tell.
That would mean, you could not find Aspartate Anhydrous that is made from any other Co.
There are other types of Aspartate Calcium though.

Ezorb does say, you still have to take D, and Magnesium, as its not in Ezorb.

I take a couple of different types of Calcium, and I just noticed, one of them is Calcium Asporotate by Solaray. Bought it at Whole Foods.
I do not know if Asporotate is the samething as Aspartate, or that is Ezorbs name, as they might want you to think, there the only ones that sell it, or have it.

This is all so confusing!!

April.

Hi April, not sure where you get your information but EZORB is definitely not coral. On their website they actually listed coral as a scam: http://www.elixirindustry.com/Calcium-Comparison.htm, scroll down to the bottom you'll see the warning.

I spent some time at their website and found bunch of clinical trial document here: http://www.elixirindustry.com/ClinicalStudy.htm

Also I don't believe they said you need vitamin d or mag. Here's a q&a on this: http://www.elixirindustry.com/ezorb/faq/g.htm

The label lists calcium aspartate anhydrous as the single ingredient.

Char42, I'm overweight...I took 7 teaspoons of their powder at the beginning. Now I take 6-8 pills a day.

BJWL89, you are very welcome. Glad I can help.

Dear BJWL89 and others:

There was a NOF Inspire discussion on EZORB almost one year ago that might help answer some of your questions: http://www.inspire.com/groups/national-osteoporosis-foundation/discussion/e zorb-and-improved-dexa/

Hi Margaret,
I called someone that sells Ezorb from the internet last year. I think his name was Larry in Tx.!! Besides the point though.

Now I see where they say its Not Coral Calcium, and make a big point about that.

That said, you have given websites that are from Ezorb.
I'm sorry but I cannot believe what Manufacturers make claims too trying to sell there products.
Anyone on the net can say anything, but that does not make it the Truth..

I'm glad to hear that Ezorb has helped you. I think that says Credibility about Ezorb.
I do not think everything works for all people. That would be great if it did.
Ezorb is something to think about, and find out more info/References from outsides sources, then EZorb though!

Take care,
April

MargaretW, I have ordered the Ezorb. I am going to try it because I do not feel I have anything to lose by doing it and maybe just maybe I may gain some bone density. Of course, I am like you one of the main reasons I want to try it is because of the pain I have from fibro & arthritis. My husband is going to try it also. I know April is a little skeptical about it, but I take other all natural products that are not FDA approved. I just know I do not want to take the FDA approved Actenol or Fosamax. Too many scary stories concerning these. One reason I am going to try the Ezorb is it does not interfer with your thryoid meds. I always ask my pharmacist about products before I try them since I am hypothyroid. I was just like April about the reviews on the Ezorb page that is why I got on this site and ask real people questions about it that were not trying to sell it. Thanks again for your help.

Margaret -- would you mind emailing me and telling me where you get Ezorb? Pain is my big problem too. psimon45@gmail.com

Thank you so much!

Hi huessysignoret, I get it directly from the manufacturer: http://www.elixirindustry.com/cgi/store/commerce.cgi?product=EZorb

Hi BJWL,
I also take allot of of Natural vitimans and herbs, that I'm sure are not FDA approved.
I'm very much into eating and cooking Healthy. I read all labels.

I just find it Odd, that eveything I read on the internet about Ezorb is from people that are selling it, and of course its all positive. Also, I cannot find anywhere about the Calcium that Ezorb uses, except from Ezorb.
If it would help my Osteoporosis and Heel spurs, I would be buying it also..
There is just a little feeling I get about Ezorb that I'm Not confortable about!
I do not care about the cost , but I do not like being Ripped off!
I found a site last night where there was feedback about Ezorb, Not from the sellers, that just seemed from what was said, it was a scam...But heck if it works for some people , go for it..
What might work for me , might not work for you and the other way around..

Good luck and let us know how your doing?
Take Care
April

April995,
Have you tried the Iceland Health Joint Relief Formula? It works really well for my aches & pains, but I could not continue to take it because of the soy. I am hypothyroid and have to avoid soy. The reason I posted my discussion about EZORB was because like you I wanted to talk to some real people who had tried it, not just the ones on the EZORB site (that goes for all sites selling something). I was glad to hear from Margaret because she is a real person using it and as far as I know not selling it. I also got some replies from others. I am going to give it a try especially since it does have a money back guarantee. Maybe it just might help me. I hope so. My feet hurt so bad I can hardly put any weight on them. Hopefully I can get in to see the foot dr. today.

Dear BJWL, Harriet, April, Margaret, et al, re: Ezorb -- I was all set to buy some after reading the good reports, but careful researching on respectable no-dog-in-the-fight sites strongly indicate that it's a scam, does no good at all, and if it helps, it's only a placebo effect. I want to believe in it, but haven't found anything to raise my comfort level. Have any health-care professionals weighed in on this?

huessysignoret,
What is the no-dog-in-the-fight site? Is this somewhere you can go and check out meds? I would like to go there and look at it. I have received my EZORB, and started taking it as of yesterday. The only thing that made me confident in ordering was because MargaretW said she had been taking it for 4.5 yrs with great results and her densities were better. Do you think the placebo effect could last 4.5 yrs?
If I find out anything different about EZORB I will return for a refund. Let me know the website address you were talking about. Thanks..

I have osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, bone spurs, lupus - you name it I have it all. I started using ezorb in Nov 2008 per my naturalpath doctor's advice. Within a month most of my fibro pain's gone. 3-5 months later, no arthritis pain, no bone spurs, no lupus. I'm a living proof that the product really works.

I haven't had another bone density check yet - it's scheduled for next month (Aug 2009). But I'm confident that I'll have great results.

I'm like the rest of you, like to research and get to the bottom before I try anything new. I spent at least three months digging out everything about ezorb. Finally everything they said made sense to me. Besides, I was at the end of the rope, tried everything else had nothing to lose. Here's a review on ezorb by the National Advertising Review Concil (NARC) in 2005 that might help you: http://www.narcpartners.org/ersp/caseview2.aspx?CaseID=53&DocumentID=181&Do cumentTypeID=3

Most NARC cases start with competitor complaints. Even though the document pointed out the company needed to modify its claims, it confirmed that most of the claims were accurate.
