Just started using my CPAP

0 Recommendations

Hello everyone,

Well, I recently started using my CPAP. I was pretty apprehensive about the whole idea of needing to sleep with one. I am usually a sensitive sleeper so I was really worried I would not be able to sleep with a CPAP. I guess I made it out worse that it actually is because it really is not that bad. It took me about a week to get used to it e.g adjusting the straps, heat for the water, figuring out how and where to place the tube so it won't strangle me in the middle of the night etc..

I seem to have a much deeper sleep because in the past when my toddler or cat made noise at 5:30am I would wake up instantly. Now it is much harder for me to wake up and I feel like I am getting out of a much deeper sleep. Too bad the CPAP can't feed the cat or make a cup of milk form my son. Now THAT would be a great innovation.

Will keep everyone posted on my CPAP adventures.

Thanks,

Amir

Sleep apnea CPAP

We have sleep apnea in our family. I find that it is my life source. I can't sleep with out it. I have been using it for two in a half years and I can't live with out it. Keep at it if you start finding that you aren't getting the adequate sleep or waking frequently follow up with your doctor every now and then you have to be retitrated. Best of luck to you.
